HOW TO GET THERE

HOW TO GET THERE

By car

From the north (Milan, Florence) the best exit for Assisi on the A1 motorway is Valdichiana, where the highway SS75bis branches into Umbria at Lake Trasimeno and continues towards Perugia‐ Assisi. From Rome travelling northwards along the A1 motorway the best exit for reaching Assisi is Orte, which is connected to the regional capital at first by the SS204 to Terni and then by the E45 (or SS3bis) from Terni to Perugia‐Assisi.

The A14 motorway down the Adriatic coast of Italy has an exit at Cesena for the highway E45 to Città di Castello and Perugia‐Assisi.
A detailed route to reach The Cenacolo by car can be calculated at: www.hotelcenacolo.com/EN/contact‐and‐map.html

By train

From the North, the main line between Florence and Rome has a station at Terontola (on the branch line to Perugia, Assisi, Spello, and Foligno), so coming from Florence take one of the dozen daily trains to Terontola that meet up with a connecting train to Assisi/S. Maria degli Angeli.
From the South, the main line between Rome and Ancona has a station at Foligno (on the branch line to Spello, Assisi, Perugia), so coming from Rome take one of the nine daily trains on the line to Ancona, and stop at Foligno where you can transfer to Assisi/S. Maria degli Angeli.

By plain

The Umbria International Airport “San Francesco d’Assisi” is 15 minutes from Hotel Il Cenacolo.

A dedicated shuttle‐bus from the airport to the hotel is available on request.

The Umbria International Airport is connected directly to Brussels (Charleroi), London (Stansted) and Munich by Ryanair and Lufthansa, and is connected via Rome‐Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) with Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Geneva, Brussels, Nice, London, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Budapest and Vienna by Alitalia.

Info at: www.airport.umbria.it/en
Arrivals to the airport Rome‐Fiumicino can also benefit from the train Leonardo connecting the airport to the Roma‐Termini railway station where several trains connect Rome to Assisi.
