Interuniversity Institute of Myology (IIM)

The IIM, founded in 2003, brings together investigators performing Myology Research in Universities and Research Centers in Italy and Europe.
IIM mission is to promote interdisciplinary collaborative efforts to further the understanding of normal and pathological aspects of muscle formation, activity and repair, as well as to foster collaborations between researchers, clinicians and patient associations for development of therapeutic treatments for neuromuscular diseases.
Special emphasis is devoted to the training of young fellows, and to fostering international collaborations and exchanges.
